About Denise
Licensed Holistic Therapist, Clinical Supervisor, and CEO
helping to create real change in your life.
Born and raised in Sunny San Diego, my purpose is to help you make a difference in your life. This line of work called me because of my own struggles. As I child I saw a therapist due to difficulties understanding my parent’s divorce and as an adult, I returned for help adjusting to my own.
Every day I continue to learn ways to reduce my own anxiety through therapy, body movement, and community.
As a therapist, I guide our conversations towards realness and action.
Hence, “Let’s Get Real!”
It’s time to start your journey as you are guided through your own self-exploration and healing to create lasting change in your life.
I hope you live a life you ‘re proud of, and if you’re not, I hope you have the courage to start over again.

It’s time to unlock your new story
Let’s have a real conversation. Not that old school way of therapy with the cold therapist that nods without sharing any emotion. Instead, let’s sit down with a cup of tea, in a relaxed environment, and get to know your inner story.
In a safe space you can learn to take control of your emotions so that you can turn your old story into something that empowers you. A new and improved, healthy story that gives you and your voice permission to shine.
Full disclosure: It won’t be easy. I will push you and be real with you when it’s required so you can break through those boundaries that have been holding you stuck. But you are ready for this, and owe it to yourself to shine.

FAQ
What is your approach to therapy sessions?
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), while incorporating a holistic approach to both. A combination of these three approaches can help reduce symptoms of depression and anxiety.
CBT seeks to give you the ability to recognize when your thoughts might become troublesome, and gives you techniques to redirect those thoughts.
DBT helps you find ways to accept yourself, feel safe, and manage your emotions to help regulate potentially destructive or harmful behaviors.
A Holistic Approach helps you learn ways to listen to how your body is taking in all of the messages from the brain and reacting (tension headaches, stomach issues) and helps you take control back by learning skills such as breath work, meditation, and stretching. Once we are able to see these warning signs from the body, realign with it, you are able to take control back.
What do you mean by a relaxed environment?
Help yourself to a hydrating station with tea, water, hot cocoa, and coffee available at each session in our Relaxation Room.
Me, your therapist, barefoot in yoga clothes, teaching yoga in between sessions.
And a cozy office with essential oils diffused to calm the nerves and go deep.
What do I need to come prepared with before a session?
Come with an open mind and willingness to explore yourself
Bring a journal and pen to jot down “aha” moments or assignments
Come in comfy clothing in case we stretch
Block out time after the session to self-care and reflect in our Relaxation Room.
Do you offer virtual or phone sessions?
Yes! Not everyone is comfortable with in-person sessions, or lives in San Diego. Therapy/Coaching has never been easier to access with many different options from phone, virtual, or in-person sessions.
